PAPAYA
There are a few papayas around. We grow most of the ones we know of on our farm. They are all fairly similar, usually it's the size and the color that makes the difference. The flavor is similar, though some are less "perfumy" than others, in our opinion. Papaya is insanely healthy, although somewhat of an acquired taste for some, as their flavor usually is very strong. What we love most about them is just how fast they grow, and how fast they fruit. Similarly, both seeds and leaves can be used for a variety of things, and taste nothing like the fruit, by the way. The plant itself, as well as the seeds, taste more like horseradish than the actual fruit, which makes them delicious in exotic salads and other dishes.
